Midlands police call handlers could face jail after admitting offences
Two Derbyshire police call handlers, Jessica Fitzhugh and Ellie-Mae Doherty, admitted offences involving computer misuse and misconduct in public office related to accessing data during 2023 and 2024. Their pleas are subject to review by prosecutors and may lead to a Newton Hearing. Judge Timothy Spencer KC warned both women they could face prison. Sentencing is scheduled for August 28 after pre-sentence reports are completed.
