Peter Reid ‘honoured’ to do the Great North Run aged 70 for Bobby Robson
Former England midfielder Peter Reid will run the Great North Run at age 70 to raise money for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation. The charity is seeking funds for a £30 million cancer-fighting institute in Newcastle intended to become a leading centre for cancer drug trials. Reid, who played under Bobby Robson and has personal experience of cancer affecting his family, said he was proud to support the cause. Cancer patients, researchers, construction workers and members of Robson’s family will also participate.
