Two arrested after child dies in house fire near A66 crash site
A murder investigation has been launched after a house fire in Grangetown near Middlesbrough killed two people, including a child. Two men aged 23 and 31 were arrested on suspicion of murder. A 48-year-old woman remains in critical condition and three others suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The fire occurred less than a mile from an A66 crash that killed five young men and two serving police officers, though Cleveland Police has not ruled out a connection between the incidents.
