Two thirds of Brits 'hate' blue cheese - avoiding it for smell alone
A survey of 2,000 UK adults found that while most people enjoy cheese, many—especially Gen Z—avoid Stilton due to its smell and appearance, with two thirds of those who say they dislike blue cheese having never tried it. Clawson Farms used the results to promote its Wimbledon campaign encouraging people to taste Stilton before forming an opinion, highlighting that some visitors were pleasantly surprised by the flavour combinations offered. The findings also show mature cheddar, mozzarella and Red Leicester as the most commonly eaten cheeses, while only a small share of respondents expressed willingness to try Stilton.
