James, Earl of Wessex, has achieved the grades required to study rural land and property management at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester this autumn. His A-level grades and subjects at Radley College have not been disclosed. The course covers rural professional practice, planning, development, law, valuation, construction, management, sustainability and business advice. His sister, Lady Louise Windsor, recently graduated from the University of St Andrews and plans to take a gap year.

King Charles accepted Keir Starmer’s resignation and appointed Andy Burnham as the new Prime Minister, marking the fourth premiership of his reign. Burnham and his wife attended an audience at Buckingham Palace, where he accepted the request to form a new government. Ceremonial proceedings, including greetings by senior royal staff and public interest from tourists, accompanied the transition.
