Frankie and Tom Griffiths discovered original Victorian wall and floor tiles while renovating a former butcher’s shop on Regent Street in Leamington Spa. The findings changed their plans for a New York-style deli sandwich shop, prompting them to restore historic features and research the building’s history back to 1828, when Joseph Edwards operated a butcher’s business there. The couple plan to display old advertisements and install handmade replica tiles, although the shop may initially open mainly as a takeaway if the interior is unfinished.

Knitting enthusiasts in Studley created woollen figures of England footballers Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham and Marcus Rashford to decorate a village postbox for the 2026 World Cup, adding knitted footballs to track goals scored during the tournament. The project, led by Jan Platt of the Studley Stitchers, follows previous postbox displays celebrating local player Hannah Hampton. The new installation was scheduled for placement on Station Road in the Warwickshire village.

Sophie Gregory, a former GB youth gymnast from Coventry, has qualified for the Olympia fitness category after strong performances in Reno and Toronto. Beginning weight training in 2021, she attributes her rapid progress to her athletic background, genetics, and rigorous training routine. Motivated in part by the death of her mother and supported by her son, she aims to place in the top three at Olympia and later compete in the 2027 Arnold Sports Festival.
