Children share simple ideas for making the world a happier place
A poll of 1,000 children aged six to 16 found that they would make the world happier through longer playtimes, more parks and playgrounds, more rest, creative activities and less homework. Most children said they would help others, include people who feel left out and support someone being bullied. Playing with friends, spending time with family and receiving treats were identified as major sources of happiness. Parents broadly agreed that children are creative and concerned about improving the world, while identifying less school pressure, more outdoor time and more creative opportunities as priorities for their children's wellbeing.
