Children share simple ideas for making the world a happier place
A poll of 1,000 children aged six to 16 found that they would make the world happier by helping people in need, removing homework, protecting the planet, building more parks, extending playtime and ensuring nobody feels excluded. Most children valued creativity, rest and time outdoors, while parents also identified less school pressure and more opportunities for creative activities as important to children’s happiness. The findings, commissioned by Maped Helix UK, suggest that children and parents view cooperation, kindness, inclusion and free time as key to improving society and wellbeing.
