UK region where the most properties have risen in price revealed - not London
New analysis from Zoopla shows that Northern Ireland has led UK regions in year‑on‑year house price increases over the past five years, with nearly 38% of homes rising in value annually each June. The North West, Scotland, Yorkshire and the Humber, and the North East also performed strongly, while London and the South East saw the lowest consistency in annual growth. Despite regional disparities, average UK home values have risen by 15.3% since 2021. Experts from Zoopla and Connells Group attribute stronger performance in northern and more affordable markets to lower exposure to mortgage‑rate‑driven affordability pressures. Specific towns such as Antrim, Bonnybridge and Castleford were identified as local top performers for consistent annual price growth.
