Mel Hussain: England Over-60s batter, brother of Nasser, predicts World Cup final appearance
Mel Hussain, a 62-year-old England Over-60s opening batter and brother of former England captain Nasser Hussain, believes England can reach the Over-60s Cricket World Cup final in Canada. England were beaten by Australia in the 2024 final, and Hussain expects another England-Australia title match despite strong competition from several teams. He joked that Nasser, who retired more than two decades ago and has not batted for around 10 years, would first need to earn a place in the squad. England have also had to replace Paul Radage, Steve Aston and Nick Gaywood because of health and injury problems, but captain Edward Gordon Lennox remains confident in the team's depth and the improving standard of senior cricket.
