Brits urged to check crucial appliance in heatwave
Rising temperatures in the UK are placing extra strain on household fridges, increasing the risk of food spoilage. Appliance specialist Matthew Glynn warns that fridges must work harder during a heatwave and recommends lowering the temperature setting to around 2°C and keeping the appliance between 0°C and 5°C. Additional advice includes minimising door openings, avoiding overcrowding, cooling food before storing it and organising shelves to improve airflow.
