Railway City Back Under Local Ownership
Railway City Brewing in St. Thomas has been sold by Toronto-based SymBev to a local ownership group that includes co-founder Paul Corriveau, Becky and Bryan White, Darin Tucker and Jeremy Tokarcyzk. The brewery, known for Dead Elephant IPA and its railway-themed beers, will mark the change with a Back on Track celebration on Aug. 22 and a limited-release Back on Track Golden Ale. Double Dead Elephant IPA is also scheduled to return in September. The ownership change comes amid a wave of craft brewery closures across Ontario, while other regional breweries are expanding or launching new products.
