A tribute concert titled K-Pop Live is scheduled for July 26 at Theatre Royal Winchester, featuring live vocals, choreography and stage visuals presented by Sweeney Entertainments. The show celebrates the global K-pop genre popularised by major South Korean acts and aims to appeal to both dedicated fans and newcomers. Volunteers, café regulars and community members are knitting blankets for residents moving into new homes through a partnership between the Chat-Tea Café and The Winchester Beacon. Close to 500 squares have been contributed, with the first three blankets delivered during a café event. Organisers and Beacon staff highlight the project’s emotional impact, including participation by residents across generations and its role in offering comfort, support and a sense of community to people rebuilding their lives.
