Dorset charity Diverse Abilities is organizing advice sessions for families of disabled young people transitioning from children's to adult services. The sessions, held in Branksome between November 2026 and June 2027, will bring together professionals from the NHS, BCP Council and other charities, while offering parents and carers opportunities to share experiences. The initiative aims to address the loss of familiar funding and healthcare arrangements when young people turn 18 and make the transition less stressful.

The New Forest and Hampshire County Show will run from July 28 to 30 in Brockenhurst, offering 70 free attractions and a mix of traditional agricultural displays and new interactive features. Organised by the New Forest Agricultural Show Society, the event includes livestock judging, equine competitions, farming workshops, children’s cookery activities and live entertainment across multiple stages, aiming to deliver a family‑friendly experience for all ages.
