The body of 38-year-old Scottish woman Elizabeth Jane Ross was discovered inside a suitcase at an abandoned building in Athens on July 18. Greek police believe her phone was used to send messages after her death in an apparent attempt to make people think she was still alive. DNA testing identified the victim after initial efforts failed, and authorities are investigating her movements following her arrival in Greece via Cyprus from the United States. Interpol, US investigators, Police Scotland and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office are assisting, while an autopsy is pending and no suspect has been identified.
