Russian businesses strained as Ukraine repeatedly attacks warehouses
Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian logistics hubs, particularly warehouses of major retailer Wildberries, have destroyed large volumes of goods and caused casualties, severely disrupting small and medium-sized businesses that rely on online marketplaces. The attacks follow Kyiv’s shift toward targeting Russian supply chains linked to the war effort. Thousands of sellers have suffered major losses without compensation after Wildberries classified drone attacks as force‑majeure events. The strikes add to mounting pressures on Russian businesses already strained by tax increases, communication restrictions, fuel shortages, and widespread closures as the war intensifies demands on Russia’s economy.
