Alienware 15 (2026) review: exceptional performance at a remarkable price... just ignore the single-channel RAM
The Alienware 15 (2026) offers excellent gaming performance for roughly $1,160 in the US, largely because its RTX 5050 GPU pairs effectively with a 165Hz 1920x1200 display. Its Ryzen 7 260 processor also performs well, but the laptop makes notable compromises: single-channel RAM, a small and slow-performing 512GB SSD, a dim 300-nit display with limited color coverage, plasticky construction, dated styling, and very short gaming battery life. The configuration is substantially less attractive in the UK, where it costs about £1,333, and buyers must carefully check the GPU because cheaper versions use older RTX 3050 or RTX 4050 graphics. It is recommended mainly for US buyers seeking affordable plug-in gaming performance.
