Soccer coach who allegedly ran away with teen pleads not guilty to sexual activity with minor

12 Dec 2017  |  ABC News
Rian Rodriguez, a former high school soccer coach, pleaded not guilty to charges of sexual activity with a minor and interference with custody after allegedly running away with 17-year-old Caitlyn Frisina. Rodriguez, who was an authority figure at Frisina's high school, is accused of engaging in sexual intercourse with her multiple times. Frisina was reported missing from her Florida home, leading to a massive search that ended with both being found in Syracuse. Rodriguez was taken into custody and later extradited to Florida, where he was terminated from his coaching job. His next court date is set for January 26.
